• What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you? /¿Qué significa, para ti, ser una graduada universitaria de primera generación?

Making my parents proud and being able to show them that all they did for me has paid off.

Enorgullecer a mis padres y demostrarles que todo lo que hicieron por mí ha valido la pena.

• What is your proudest moment from your time at UCSD? /¿Cuál es tu momento de mayor orgullo durante tu tiempo en UC San Diego?

My proudest moment at UCSD was when I switched my major to my current one and started to really enjoy my classes.

El momento del cual estoy más orgullosa durante mi paso por UCSD es cuando cambié mi especialidad a la actual y comencé a disfrutar realmente mis clases.

• What advice do you have for current or future first-generation students? /¿Qué consejo le darías a los estudiantes actuales de primera generación?

I would say that it's hard but will be worth it at the end.

Yo les diría que es difícil, pero al final valdrá la pena.

• Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?/¿Quiénes son las personas que han sido las más influyentes a lo largo de tu trayectoria universitaria (amigos, familia, comunidad, seres queridos)? ¿Hay algunas palabras de agradecimiento que te gustaría compartir con ellos?

The people that have been the most influential in my college journey have been my close friends and family. Thank you for always supporting me and helping me with my general ed classes.

Las personas que más han impactado mi trayectoria universitaria han sido mis amigos cercanos y mi familia. Gracias por siempre apoyarme y ayudarme con mis clases de educación general.

• Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?/¿Quiénes son las personas de UC San Diego que han sido las más influyentes a lo largo de tu trayectoria universitaria (personal, profesores, mentores, etc.)? ¿Hay algunas palabras de agradecimiento que te gustaría compartir con ellos?

I would say that TRIO SSSP helped me a lot through my college journey with the mentoring, checking in, the events and tutoring. I really appreciate them and don't think I could have done it without their support.

Diría que TRIO SSSP me ayudó mucho durante mi estancia universitaria con mentorías, estando pendientes de mí, eventos y tutorías. Realmente les agradezco y no creo haberlo logrado sin su apoyo.

• What do you plan or hope to do after graduating?/¿Qué planeas o esperas hacer después de graduarte?

After graduating I am planning to find a job in San Diego and in the future I hope to be able to travel with my job.

Después de graduarme, planeo encontrar un trabajo en San Diego y en el futuro espero poder viajar con mi trabajo.
