There are three work teams within the Emissions Section: the Audit Team, the Enforcement Team and the Administrative Team.

• Maintains an ongoing quality assurance program.

• Issues, denies, cancels, suspends, or revokes inspector and inspection station licenses.

• Provides data and information for fiscal notes and tracking legislation.

• Issues hardship and repair waivers.

• Investigates complaints made by customers.

• Performs covert emissions audits.

• Assesses fines and penalties against emissions inspectors and stations.

• Cancels, suspends, or revokes inspector and inspection station licenses.

Administrative Team

• Provides operational support to the Operations Manager, the Audit and Enforcement teams.

• Solves problems involving vehicle emissions.

• Provides administrative support related to license and waiver application, audits, complaints, performance review meetings, temporary permits, emissions extensions, and exempt stickers.

• Implements the annual budget and spending plan.
