Our goal is to ensure that every facility is kept in operational and safe condition. This is achieved by handling maintenance and service requests in a timely and respectful manner, conducting regular office inspections, managing surplus property and coordinating with divisions to meet their space requirements and operational needs.
FSS is responsible for coordinating building issues with our Landlords, including Capitol Complex. FSS will work with the Landlord or Property Manager as appropriate to assist in identifying the problem(s), determine who is the responsible party, obtain quotes if necessary and coordinate with vendors and contractors as required.
Please do not solicit repair quotes on your own. FSS and Property Managers have preferred/approved vendors that are contacted first.
Examples of items that are addressed through maintenance and service requests include issues with existing: data/cabling, cameras, doors, electrical, exterior, flooring, HVAC/climate control, homelessness, janitorial, landscaping, lighting, parking lot, paint, plumbing, roof, signage, surplus, windows.
Quarterly Office Inspection Reports are completed by Office Managers in Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct. These reports provide each office an opportunity to notify FSS of safety concerns, items of deferred maintenance, and routine repairs or needs. The goal is to address these issues in a timely manner and prevent them from becoming ongoing issues or worsening. FSS will work with the Office Manager, Property Manager and/or the Landlord toward resolution.

Please contact FSS prior to making office moves. In most cases, an office move is fairly direct. However, there may be factors that need to be considered such as, phone moves, computer moves, network printers, server access, furniture, surplus property, moving/storing files, removing/mounting wall items, etc. FSS can assist with work requests to Landlords, coordinating with OIT, arranging for movers, surplus property pick up, etc.
