Mail Services

Is located in room 449at the 2829 W. Howard Pl. facility.

Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail/packages at the 2829 W Howard Pl facility (including undeliverable/returned mail).  After processing, the mail/packages can be picked-up in room 449 for Howard Revenue employees, by the recipient or owning section. Packages address directly to an employee can be picked-up in room 449 after notification of package arrival by a Mail Services’ team member.

Provides interoffice delivery and pick-up service between the Cole Blvd and Westgate facilities for mail and packages.

Provides out-going mail services for letters and packages by applying postage (mail metering service) to USPS mail, including outbound FedEx and UPS shipments. Mail Services has folder/inserter equipment to efficiently fold and enclose mail into envelopes.

Distributes interoffice and interagency mail/packages for the Pierce St, Cole Blvd and Westgate facilities.

Distributes and mails printed tax booklets and tax forms to the public upon request.

Processes DR 5714 Request for Copy of Tax Returns as received from taxpayers.

Coordinates document shred services for some of the sections located at the Pierce Street facility (primarily Taxation, Financial Services, Human Resources, Lottery, Administrative Offices Division in addition to the Howard facility). Contact one of the Mail Services supervisors if you would like the Mail Services team to coordinate this effort for your section.

Mail Services have a limited ability to scan and email images to recipients of desk mail such as invoices, general correspondence, notices, etc.  If you need the Mail Services team to scan and email images of desk mail to you, contact one of the Mail Services supervisors to arrange for service (additional requests can only be fulfilled if it is within our existing resources).
