5280 Awards are employee recognition awards given out in the Driver Control Section. There are three different levels. For additional information on these awards please click here for the procedure, due dates, and criteria for the awards.

Criteria for a Level I Award include:
Creation of document(s) beyond the scope of daily job function.
Being of service to others within a unit. Assisting others within a unit, above and beyond the scope of daily job functions. As an example - Consistent participation in employee engagement activates as a non-governance position holder.
Taking the initiative to learn new job skills. Being self-motivated for professional development beyond IPOs.
Giving a presentation in a unit (minimum 10 minutes).
Created a training tool for current and future employees.
Assisting with planning an EEC event as a non-EEC Governance Position Holder.
Being of service to another Unit.
DMV EEC service project .
Nominate a Level II here.
Criteria for a Level II Award include:
Going above and beyond the scope of one's job description (taking on duties outside the scope of one's job description or classification).
Significant involvement in a Process Improvement and / or DMV Strategic Plan project.
Completed significant voluntary leadership role or assignment.
Presenting in an All Staff Meeting or Supervisor Meeting outside normal job duties (10 minutes or longer).
Idea implemented for process and / or customer services improvement within a unit.
Leading an EEC Event as a non-EEC Governance Position Holder.

Criteria for a Level III Award include:
Leading or contributing to an exceptional idea that is implemented in the section or another section resulting in significant and measurable increases in efficiency.
Conducting a presentation to an external stakeholder outside normal job duties.
Presenting at a Lunch N' Learn.
Conducting an internal training and/or presentation outside normal job duties.
Implementation of an idea or suggestion for process improvement across the floor (3 or more units).
Holding an EEC Governance Committee Position.
