Logos

Word Graphic

Freeport High School

I’m calling this project, logos because I created a logo for Freeport High-school Sports and for a cow. The subject is a cow and the word falcons with sports incorporated in it. I chose to create this specific work because I liplike the way the nostrils of the cow become to words and the words become the sports equipment. When I was creating this I had the design aspect in mind, and mades are there were no shadows or anything.

For materials, I used sharpie and pencil. I used sharpie as a material to give it a solid design look without shading . I used a variety of techniques and methods including: outlining and cartoony design. While creating this work, I paid close attention to incorporating multiple things into one. I wanted my artwork to look solid and I did this by using pure contour.

I like the way the cow has different shades of gray because it emphasizes where I want the viewer to look. However, I struggled with the pom-pom and the soccer ball in the word falcons. If I created another work like this I may not have added a soccer ball because I think it takes away from the actual letter c. My work shows that I learned to make a design out of a prompt without making it look realistic.
