Cultural Context: set of beliefs, values, customs, traditions, and practices that characterize a particular group, community, or society
Social Context: environment, culture, beliefs, values, and social structures that influence individuals and communities within a particular society or group.
Explain how the historical, cultural, and social context of a work of art influenced the artist and what they were trying to say.
Understand that artworks are often shaped by the time, place, and culture they were created in, and I can talk about how these factors are reflected in the work.
