Selmer 200

Thanks to Sarah F. for giving me the opportunity to review this model, which is just the chrome key version of the gold 220. Sorry I didn't take pictures of this one, but the keys are like the Signet series or other Selmers.

Serial #22543, 18Dec2013

Barrel: 63.7mm (Short! That’s why I can play this in tune!)

Bore LH joint top: 14.75mm

Bore LH joint at bottom: 14.4 poly-cylindrical!

Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page.

For this test, I pulled 1.1mm at the barrel and 0.2mm at the center tenon.

Intonation summary: Wonderful. The flatness in the throat tones is because of loud playing and no adjusting. ([2019 note: At the time of this review, I was playing on a mouthpiece that made me flat in the throat tones when playing loud.)

Key work quality: Fantastic. Top quality.

This clarinet is most appropriate for: Anyone. This plays with professional level intonation.

Condition issues noted: zero
