Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page. For this test, I pulled 1.5 at the barrel and .9 in the center for this horn.

Intonation summary: Very nice. With tuning rings or not pulling out so much, the flat notes in the clarion would no longer be flat. Very nice clear throat tones.

Key work quality: Very nice nickel keys. Maker traits: Pin-in-hole left pinkie keys on two posts. RH part of bridge has a trapezoidal shape. G# and A throat tone keys are on three posts. The RH third finger Bb key has a single long screw. There is a batch mark 8 under the RH keys.

This clarinet is most appropriate for: Anyone, beginning to advanced. This would have been considered professional quality back in the day, perhaps 1940.
