Many thanks to George Carrasco for giving me the opportunity to review this clarinet.
I think this would have been an earlier model for what became the Normandy line, and before the Vito line. This has the same wonderful Noblet key work, but it these are nickel keys and not chrome plated. There is a wooden Noblet DN/ND which was made around the same time.
Serial #2653 marked on both keyed joints
Bore LH joint top: 14.8mm
Bore LH joint at bottom: 14.8mm
The hands are those of Joel, my 4 year old grandson. One of the pictures is blurry because he was wiggling.
Intonation summary: Unfortunately, I don’t think this intonation is as good as the Vito or Normandy lines in the lower registers. This would have been intermediate intonation when it was made, and is beginning intonation now.
Key work quality: Great.
This clarinet is most appropriate for: A beginning student.
Condition issues noted: none.
