Penzel-Mueller Dyna-Tone
Many thanks to Jeffrey Girsch for not only giving me the opportunity to review this clarinet, but actually giving this to me. I am very happy to own this! (And you will see why below.)
This wins the *Phil's Favorite* award in the vintage plastic category.

Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page.
For this test, I pulled 1.4mm at the barrel and 0mm at the center tenon.
Intonation summary: Fabulous. I think the flatness in the throat tones (remember I always check playing forte) can be fixed. I have not yet reconditioned this. This intonation is bordering on professional level. Penzel-Mueller was a great company!
Key work quality: Good student quality for the 1940s to 1950s.
This clarinet is most appropriate for: Anyone. This plays great.
Condition issues noted: old.
