Berthiot

This is marked Berthiot Paris France. It has matching Serial numbers on the two main pieces H6970, I got it used at Sam Ash in 1962 approx. Played it till 66 when I switched to Bass Clainet, which I played till College. Grew up in Elmont NY,

I noticed a listing on eBay for Couesnon Lafayette Berthiot.

I tend to like the instruments when the logo stamp was sans serif and all caps. I think I put them down as Thibouville instead of Couesnon. But if Lafayette Berthiot was a player or a music store, it is possible he did business with both makers.

Looks like it's in great condition!
