Charlain / Vernand Charlain

Thanks to Briggete for pointing this out on eBay.

I can't tell if the last letter is there or not, so this might be Vernand Charlaine.

[EDIT] It's almost certain that it is Charlaine. French almost ever has any name of this sort ending without an 'e.'

The eBay listing is without the -e.

This would be early. My guess, about 1910, but perhaps as early as 1890.
