Noblet 40

I got this instrument by buying unmatched new replacement joints. The joints came with the springs installed, but on one joint they were still not bent into position. Nothing appears to be defective on these joints. The matching joints may have cracked or been defective in other ways at the factory. I would suspect that, even though this is a blended instrument and the barrel was not from Noblet 40, this would be a fairly good indication of the quality of this particular model.LH Serial #D54181RH Serial #D48549Barrel: no original barrelBore LH joint top: 14.8mm Bore LH joint at bottom: 14.7mm Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page. For this test, I used a 65.9mm Ivorolon Ridenour HR barrel, and pulled a bit less than 1mm at the center tenon and at the barrel.

Intonation summary: Poly-cylindrical, and excellent intonation.

Key work quality: I'm sure that normal Leblanc key work on this instrument would be excellent. This particular instrument has Vito keys, which are virtually identical to what would come with this instrument from the factory.

This clarinet is most appropriate for: Intermediate to advanced players. This is a semi-pro model.
