Barrel: 66mm
Bore LH joint top: 14.8mm
Bore LH joint at bottom: 14.75mm
Intonation results taken when playing loud and not lipping. See how to interpret these results on the Model Comparison Page.
For this test, I pulled 1mm at the barrel and 1mm at the center tenon.
Intonation summary: Wonderful. There is only one place where the plateau system seems to negatively affect the tone and response: That is on the Chalemeau B natural when played with the normal second finger fingering. This note sounds and feels a tad fuzzy compared to the Bb or A. I have concluded that there is no way for me to get this respond as I would like without drilling a hole in the plateau! The corresponding upper register F# isn’t nearly as fuzzy.
Key work quality: Sturdy, utilitarian student model key work of the hardest material.
This clarinet is most appropriate for: Beginners with small hands, or arthritic adults.
Condition issues noted: On this one, they keys show contact wear in a lot of normal contact points, such as on top of the plateau keys.
Note that this model does not say Resotone on it.

13Sept2013, #39708, for Therese K. Keys in nice condition. Only the plating on the thumb showing a worn away place.
? #10019, for Len Allman.
31Aug2014, #9550, for Len Allman. I had to splice on quite a chunk of the RH bottom tenon, about 2/3 of it is new. Plays great.
7Jul2017, #20648, for Len Allman. The keys on this one came to me in superb condition. The student who had this before didn't play it for long.
28Jan2019, #37639, for Len Allman. Again, excellent keys on this one.
