Christmas Fair

Thank you to our wonderful school community for all coming together on Friday after school for our Christmas Fair. Our children and staff had gone to some effort of making some wonderful crafts for their stalls and there were lots of prizes on offer. I am delighted to share that we managed to raise a REMARKABLE £814.85

Christmas Dinner

The children were treated to a tremendous Christmas meal on Wednesday. A HUGE thanks to our kitchen staff who really pushed the limits to provide a delicious meal for the children and staff.

Book Sales

We have managed to raise just over £1,000 from our book sales! This really is amazing. Miss Evans will now use this money to order new books for our early readers in Early Years and Key Stage 1. We will be holding more book sales, so look out for reminders on Class Dojo, Facebook and Twitter.

REMARKABLE Success for Lea Forest

National data was released on Friday for all schools. This year’s data for Lea Forest shows that we are performing within the top 5-10% of schools nationally and that we are one of the top 10 best performing schools in Birmingham (from a total of 363 schools across the city). We are thrilled with this data and continue to be proud of our REMARKABLE children. Check out the government website for more details:

We are the Champions

We have been really busy winning sporting tournaments this week and I am extremely proud of both of our Dodgeball teams who came 1st and 4th out the whole of Birmingham. I was also delighted with the girls football team who managed to win the Girls 5-A-Side Finals against teams from the East Birmingham Schools FA.. You can read more about our successes at these events on page 2 of this newsletter. Curriculum I had the pleasure of carrying out a book look on Thursday afternoon with Mrs Wood and Mr White. The learning taking place across our school is truly REMARKABLE. The children are learning lots and remembering lots, as well as taking lots of pride in presenting their work in a creative way.

ESOL Workshop

Thank you to the parents/carers that joined Miss Jones and Mrs Morsely on Tuesday afternoon for our English Speakers of other Languages workshop. It was a great turnout and we received some very positive feedback. We will be running more of these in the new year, so look out for the reminders.

Book Sale

Thank you to the parents that came to our book sale on Thursday after school. We sold 310 books and raised more money to put towards our reading scheme books in Early Years and Key Stage 1. We will arrange another book sale before the Christmas holidays.
