Many of you are already aware that Mrs Fuery will be leaving us next half term to go on Maternity Leave! Congratulations to Mrs Fuery! Mrs Townsend is already working with 4RF to ensure a smooth transition.

In addition, some parents have already met our new member of the Office Team – Mrs Haynes, who has already settled in quickly and proven to be a valuable team member. Mrs Haynes is responsible for all school meal enquiries.

We would also like to welcome Ms Mattiello who has joined Lea Forest as a cover teacher to enable staff to be released to complete leadership and management duties.

Red Nose Day - Friday March 13th 2015

posted 16 Jan 2015, 14:57 by J Croxon [ updated 19 Jan 2015, 17:49 ]

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution. It’s the day, when people across the land can get together and do something funny for money at home, school and work

All money that the Academy raises will be doubled by the government and will be used to help get 300,000 children in Africa into education and learning. AET aims to raise £70,000 and all donations raised by Lea Forest Academy will go towards AETs final total.

We are going to do all sorts of exciting fundraising during the next few weeks leading up to Red Nose Day so that we can raise the most we have ever done but also have lots of fun. Mrs Blaydes would like the children to come up with as many ideas as possible. Talk to your children to think of ideas then pass them on to Mrs Blaydes so we can get them started.

Red Noses will be on sale nearer the time.

We will always do our best to keep the academy open over the winter months.

In the unlikely event that we have to close the building we will inform parents via the Academy Website, Twitter Feed and Facebook page and via local radio stations. Should the weather worsen overnight we advise parents to listen to local radio or check our website and twitter feeds before heading out to school in the morning.
