This week we have reported 5 illegally parked vehicles to the police. Thank you to the majority of our parents who are continuing to park away from the zig zag markings and entrance gates and are keeping our children safe.
World Autism Week at Lea Forest

We will be participating in Autism Awareness Week next week and our children will be taking part in activities that raise awareness of Autism. We will also be welcoming Also Anne Seymour from the communication and autism team at Birmingham City council who will be doing a whole school assembly on autism on Wednesday the 26th of March.
Wednesday 28th March - Onesie Wednesday / pink and purple day children and staff can come to school in a onesie or pink and purple clothing.
We will also be collecting the autism awareness posters from the completion and announcing the winners at the end of the week
Tree Planting

We were thrilled to have support from Nick and Alex from Forest Schools Birmingham helping us plant brand new hedgerows in Forest School and along Ridpool road. Children from Years 3 and 4 worked hard during the morning to plant almost 500 trees and learnt about why trees are so important for our community.

We’d like to thank all of our parents for their continued support this term. Please help us to continue to improve our academy and set a good example to our children by behaving in a respectful and appropriate manner when on the school grounds .
We will not tolerate the use of abusive or threating behaviour against our staff or parents and will ban any parent who chooses to behave in this way.
We do not permit smoking or vaping on the site and would ask that parents do not smoke on our grounds or in the vicinity of our gates . Please help us to keep the grounds tidy by taking home any litter or encouraging your children to put in one of the bins on site.

Dance Finals

We will be focusing on improving our punctuality and attendance over the next term and Mr Wills and the Pastoral team will be reminding parents who are persistently late that school gates open from 8:45am .
School Nurse
