Forest Fell Timbers To Go Top!

posted 27 Apr 2016, 10:04 by J Croxon

Lea Forest jumped to the peak of the Corporate Clothing division following Tuesday night's top of the table clash with Timberley - and are now one point clear of the reigning champions. Both teams put on a fantastic spectacle in really dreadful conditions with all the boys leaving everything on the pitch. With Forest leading 1-0, they then had to withstand a second half Timbers onslaught, and only an outstanding goalkeeping display by their lad in the sticks, Cristian, keeping them in the game; Timberley peppered the Foresters goal but with no return.

This was in stark contrast to Monday night's game where Timberley blasted 17 goals past a beleaguered Alston. The dramatic 17-2 scoreline took the champs - briefly, for a day - back to the summit. However, after Tuesday's result they have slipped back into second place with the division continuing its congested look remaining as tight as ever. Any one of the top 6 teams is still in with a chance of a top-two finish in this exciting, breathless division.

SATs Revision Morning - Thursday 5 May 2016

posted 22 Apr 2016, 10:19 by J Croxon

As you know your children in Year 6 have important SATs tests to sit in a few weeks’ time. Due to this we have made the decision to use the only part of the school we are allowed to access on Polling day (Thursday 5 May) to stay open for Y6. The children will only do half a day and free toast and milk will be provided at break-time.

Year 6 children will need to attend as usual for half a day, from 9.00am to 12.00pm. If your child is unwell please follow the normal absence procedures by telephoning the main office to report the absence.

The children will need to enter the school through Door 4 (Nursery/Reception entrance) on Eddish Road. All other entrances will be closed to children.
