Head Teacher's Welcome

Mr Clarke

Head Teacher

On behalf of the pupils, staff, Governance Board and AET (Academies Enterprise Trust), I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to Lea Forest.

As the Headteacher, I am very proud of all that we do here. Our school has a reputation for developing the 'whole child’. The staff at Lea Forest have high expectations of all the pupils, and would like them to leave school as confident, polite and independent young people, with the appropriate skills, values and learning to become successful in whatever their eventual career paths will be. We aspire to instil in all our pupils a desire to succeed in whatever they do, across all areas of school life and beyond. As an AET academy, our mission is pure and simple: to enable our pupils to lead remarkable lives. This is the golden thread that binds us all together – the reason that despite our very different paths, we are all part of one family.

Lea Forest has had its most successful years, most recently, with a ‘Good’ judgement from Ofsted in November 2016 and achieving the best ever Key Stage 2 results in the summer of 2018, which are now above national expectations. We are aiming higher than ever this year and predict even better results and outcomes for our pupils so watch this space...

Our four values are:

1) BE UNUSUALLY BRAVE

2) DISCOVER WHAT'S POSSIBLE

3) PUSH YOUR LIMITS

4) BE BIG HEARTED

Our five core learning characteristics include:

-Having High Aspirations -Being Innovative -Being Resilient -Being Respectful -Being Independent

‘Spartacus the squirrel’ is our mascot and can be seen all around school. He is a very important member of the Lea Forest community and is used to encourage the children to achieve their best.

Teamwork is a strong theme of our school. Effective primary education is a partnership between children, staff and parents. We look forward to working with you to ensure your child is valued as an individual and has a safe, happy and successful time with us. We are committed to all aspects of education and development, encouraging families to work in partnership with us to realise our aim, of successfully helping each child to achieve their full potential.

Our school is a busy place with many enriching events for the pupils. We continually evaluate what we do in order to give the children the very best education. As partners we want all parents to be involved and to come into school regularly.

We are very proud of the children who attend Lea Forest and all of their achievements!

We hope that our website, Face Book and Twitter pages provide you with the information you require. You are always welcome to arrange a visit and the children would be delighted to show you what makes Lea Forest such an exceptional and rewarding school experience.
