Parent Reminder

posted 31 Mar 2017, 15:40 by J Croxon

We really value the close working relationship we have with our parents and this partnership is helping to develop our school and your children’s education. Parents are welcome to pass on messages, ask questions and discuss matters of concern with all members of staff. To aid this our learning mentors and leadership team are stationed around the school grounds before and after school day and our teaching staff are available at the end of the school day. Our staff are always here to help and will deal with your enquiries in a professional manner.

We will not tolerate any person who attempts to use abusive language, threats or acts of aggression to bully or intimidate our staff or other parents. Any adult that choses to behave in this way will be escorted from our premises and will be reported to the police. Our parent feedback shows that our parents are very happy with the school but many have commented that the language and behaviour of adults outside the gates and on the playground is unacceptable.

Please help us to change this.

The Big Sleuth

posted 3 Mar 2017, 15:23 by J Croxon

After the great success of 'The Big Hoot' and 'The Big Read' in Birmingham over the last two summers, this year the council are running 'The Big Sleuth' and Lea Forest are proud to be taking part. We have our own 'sun bear' to design, name and decorate. The children can create their own designs (the templates are attached to the newsletter). We are looking for fabulous designs to paint onto our bear who will be part of the trail in Birmingham city centre over the summer holiday. This is such an exciting project to be part of. Please encourage your child to take part. Designs must be handed in to Mr Clarke's office by 24 March 2017.

Breakfast Club

posted 3 Mar 2017, 15:22 by J Croxon

Please note that due to health and safety regulations we can not accept any child into Breakfast Club that does not have a place, as we are strictly limited to 120 children per day. Please do not leave your child unattended at the gates as they will be unable to enter the club and you will be asked to return to school to supervise them until the gates open at 8:45am.

Parking Reminder

posted 3 Mar 2017, 15:21 by J Croxon

Please ensure that your vehicle is parked legally and safely when collecting or dropping off your child at school. We have had several complaints from residents that have had driveways blocked by inconsiderate parking. We are working with the council and local police to monitor the situation over the next few weeks and looking at how we can improve traffic around the school during busy periods.
