Nursery Closed Friday 15th of January

posted 14 Jan 2016, 19:05 by J Croxon

PARENT INFORMATION:

Due to a heating failure in Nursery we have taken the decision to close the nursery building to all children on Friday whilst repairs are carried out.

Nursery children should not attend tomorrow

The rest of the building is not affected by this problem and all other classes are open as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience this breakdown has caused.

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back to a new term and new year at Lea Forest Academy. I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break.

It was great to see an improvement in attendance during the Autumn Term. We still however have a long way to go to reach the 97% attendance expected this year. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that holidays should not be booked during term time and will not be authorised.

This term promises to be another very busy and exciting time for all the children, with many educational visits and experiences planned to support the curriculum. Please refer to our Website for copies of all letters and information about events at school.

Mrs Thompson

After a mammoth tree planting session last term that saw over 300 saplings planted Lea Forest has been awarded the Bronze Award from the Woodland Trust in recognition of our academy's ongoing work to protect and sustain our woodland environments around our extensive grounds. Mr Haw and the staff would like to pass on our thanks to every member of our community that helped to plant trees. Watch out for our next tree planting activities coming soon.
