STATION ONE: Reading
1- Read the short story "Theseus and The Minotaur."
2- You can also listen to it while you read- do not just listen, listen AND follow along with the Text.

STATION TWO: Writing
1- Finish reading/listening to "Theseus and The Minotaur" using the same links in Station One.
2- When you are done reading- write a reflection on your station sheet.
3- What is a Hero? Write a paragraph (5 sentences +) in the box and explain what you think defines a hero after reading the traditional Greek myth.
STATION THREE: Slideshow
1- Read through the slide show about Hero Archetypes.
2- Make sure you read all the slides and think about what kinds of examples come to mind while you are reading through the different archetypes.
STATION FOUR: Defining
1- On your Station sheet, complete the definitions and the examples for each term based on the slide show in Station Four.
2- If you can't think of an example from a film, TV show, or book, you can discuss it with your group.
STATION FIVE: Analysis
1- Fill out the last sheet of your packet-- Elements of the Epic Hero Cycle
2- Use "Theseus and The Minotaur" to fill in the table. You need to write a short description of what happened in the story to match the element with in the Hero's Journey cycle.
3- You can discuss this with your group and help each other find the answers.

TITLE: Create your Hero
DATE: 1/10/19
1- Using the last 4 numbers of your phone #-- choose the four parts that will make up your hero story.
2- Follow the chart below. You should all have a Hero, a Setting, a Gift, and a Theme.
3- Once you have created your hero, you should write a short introductory paragraph about your hero or perhaps the start of a short story.

Compare and contrast the Hero's Journey from the video with what Theseus went through-- is Campbell right by saying that all heroic journeys are really one myth? Write at least a paragraph discussing this idea of a "monomyth" in modern literature/films.
