WHEN YOU WALK INTO THIS CLASSROOM-
READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Outcast books, your calendar, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM.
3- Sit with your Outcast Book group today.
4- TURN IN YOUR CALENDARS TO THE WHITE TURN IN BOX.
BELL RINGER:
1- TURN IN YOUR LIT CIRCLE SHEETS- Use the Lit Circle #3 assignment post on Google Classroom.
2- DELETE the other 3 sheets before you turn in.
3- Turn in your calendars to the WHITE TURN IN BOX.
4- I will return them to you during the period.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Stamps will be given today for DISCUSSING the rest of your book/reading goal #3 and for turning in Lit Circle sheets on time.
2- I'll be checking Questioner sheets and will bring you your calendars after I check them in.
3- EVERYONE needs to answer the Questions from the Questioner.
4- EVERYONE must share their information-- Research, Summary, and setting images/descriptions from the Travel Tracer.
5- When your group is done, Questioner you need to turn in your sheet.
6- The rest of the period you should be WORKING on your Blog pages-- writing your reflection on your blog page and/or working on the home page etc.
IF your sheets are not done today--
1- You will go to working lunch today Periods 1-4/Monday for Periods 7&8
2- You get a Zero for Lit Circle participation.
3- You will lose points on your Lit Circle sheets which is a QUIZ grade.
YOU MAY NOT MOVE ONTO THE ANIMOTO PROJECT UNTIL YOU TALK TO ME ABOUT IT.

3- If you are nowhere near finishing your book, you need to READ AT HOME to finish your reading goal this week.

WHEN YOU WALK INTO THIS CLASSROOM-
READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Outcast books, your calendar, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM.
3- Each member of your team must sit at a different table today.
4- Once you have your items, you can place EVERYTHING ELSE on the side black counter.
BELL RINGER:
1- Take a piece of paper from the clipboard and fold it into quarters- fold it in half and then in half again.
2- Then fold over the interior corner so that your paper has a diamond in the middle.
3- In the top LEFT-hand corner start to number the outside squares #1 through #4.
4- Write your name and your Outcast book title next to the #1 in the top left-hand corner- write it at the top and leave enough room to write more in the square.
5- Write NEATLY and DO NOT FILL THE BOX with your name and book title.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We're going to do a Conversation Roundtable. In the #1 box- the one you wrote your name and your book title in-- write the following:
The name of your main character.
In 1-2 sentences, describe how they are an "outcast" HERO.
Find a short quote that supports your description.
2- Once you are done with your first corner, go around the table and share about your outcast hero.
3- TRADE PAPERS-- pass papers 1x to your right.
4- Once you have a new paper, in the #2 box read what was written in the #1 box, and then write the following:
YOUR Outcast Book Title and your Hero's name.
2-3 sentences about how your character relates to the hero listed in the #1 box.
5- Again, go around the table and share about how your outcast hero related to the #1 hero.
6- Repeat 4 & 5 in the #3 box.
7- Then repeat 4 & 5 in the #4 box. You should get to everyone's hero by the 4th box.
8- After you've discussed the last hero, you need to write ONE sentence in the center about how the 4 heroes are alike.
9- We'll discuss this in the bigger group once each group is done. If your group finishes before other teams do, call me over to stamp and look at your results.
10- If there is time, you can work on Lit Circle #3 or read until the bell.

1- Go to your Lit Circle #1 sheets in your Google Drive and change the permissions to be ANYONE can VIEW.
2- Open your Blog pages and start working on your Reflection #2.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Work on your Blog pages today.
A- Updating your Individual Page with your REFLECTION #2- reflect on the part of the book that you read for last week's Lit. Circle #2.
B- Updating your DISCUSSION NOTES from Lit Circle #2- summarize what you all talked about last week. You can write 3-5 sentences to summarize your discussion.
2- Stamps will be given today for finishing your Reflections, Discussion notes, and for inserting your Lit Circle Sheets to you page.
3- The rest of the period you should be READING or continuing to WORK on your Blog pages-- writing your reflection on your blog page and/or working on the home page etc.
5- You can also be working on Lit. Circle #3 sheets for Friday's discussion.
