Your team will create a Book Trailer in order to inspire others to read your book!
BOOK TRAILERS:
1- Your team must make a Storyboard of your pics and what captions you will use FIRST. Storyboard template.
2- You need to find 8 IMAGES MINIMUM (you can always use more) that work with your book. These can be pictures from the internet. Just do a rough sketch or describe what kind of picture you are looking for in the image box on the storyboard.
3- WRITE a caption for EACH picture-- you will use this in your Animoto video.
4- The pictures only will take a certain amount of characters- so if you want to write more about your image for the trailer, you'll need to add additional text boxes.
5- Please keep your trailers at about 1:30 to 2 minutes MAXIMUM!

DO NOT alter any video except your own.
Please note- you cannot all work on the video at the same time. You will delete each others work. The best thing is to have one person put the video together while the rest of the team looks for images or finds music.
4- When you get into the account go to CREATE.
5- Choose your STYLE.
6- You can upload your own pictures, but you need to use the music that is on the account.
You can also create text slides if you need them.
Make sure you "name" your video with your group names- NO last names.
7- Once you are done re-creating your storyboard-PREVIEW your video.
8- Check your grammar.
9- If you are happy with the preview- then you can PRODUCE it and it will save to the dashboard.
10- COPY the link and turn the link into Google Classroom.
Literature Circle Jobs:

2- Researcher
3- Summarizer

CALENDAR FOR FICTION BOOK CLUB UNIT
Online Book Choices:
You will meet to discuss your book each week- and have 2 formal literature circles.
You need to have THREE Reading Goals (meaning you all decide how many pages to read for each reading goal date)--
Friday, November 18
Wednesday, November 30
Monday, December 5
Literature Circle Dates are:
Thursday, December 1 and Wednesday, December 7
Your group will set up a Google Site to publish your Lit Circle Work as well as your discussion notes.
Your blog can be simple or ornate, but blogs must have these basics:
Home Page:
1- Blog Title.
2- Header with Book Title and Author.
3- Kirkus Review with link to the review.
4- Images/pictures/book trailer (not from a movie) to describe the book.
Each team member must have their OWN page so the site must be shared within the group.
On each individual page you must have:
1- Your role for the week.
2- Your Lit Circle sheet WHEN IT IS COMPLETE.
3- A text box with notes from your discussion.
4- And a reflection on what you have read for each reading goal day:
READING GOAL DATES: You should have a reflection paragraph (8-10 sentences) for each date.
1- Friday, November 18
2- Wednesday, November 30
3- Monday, December 5
4- Make sure you list page numbers for each reading goal reflection.
Literature Circle Dates are:
1-Thursday, December 1 and
2-Wednesday, December 7
3- You should have a completed Lit Circle Sheet posted for each date.
4- You should also have notes from each Lit Circle posted as well.
Possible Book Choices
A few guidelines:
1- You may not choose The Outsiders.
2- You may not choose any book you have ALREADY READ.
3- You need to find 2 or 3 mates in your period to read with you.
4- This will be your Book Club.
5- You'll have to purchase your book by 11/16 (next week Wednesday).
6- You will work together in literature circles- so you must have a reading goal for each circle and choose a literature circle job that you will complete. You will do 3 jobs for the circles.
