BELL RINGER:
1- We'll be taking the 2nd 9 Weeks Standards assessment today.
2- When you are done, you will need to work SILENTLY at your desk. You can read your IRB, finish IXL, or work on your book talk visual.
3- This is a quiz grade so READ the directions, READ the article, and READ the questions carefully. Answer the questions THOUGHTFULLY. Go back and re-read if you have to. Don't rush, you have time to complete this.

BELL RINGER:
1- Come and pick a card and find out where you will sit.
2- Each station has a card or suit attached to a clipboard- you sit on the station of your card.
3- Leave your card attached to the clipboard- DO NOT BEND THE CARDS!
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We'll have stations where you will work on specific sections together with your group.
STATION ONE: Sections 1-3
STATION TWO: Sections 4-6
STATION THREE: Sections 7-9
STATION FOUR: Sections 10-12
STATION FIVE: Sections 13-15
2- Open IXL and look at what sections you had a hard time with from the ones assigned to your station.
3- Work with your group to get to at least 70% or raise your score to 80%.
4- Use Grammar Monster to look up grammar terms you do not know or need help understanding.
5- Collectively you should be helping each other answer the questions to get your minimum score or get the extra credit.
6- If you understand all the grammar then help the others in your group.
You'll have 8 minutes per station. I'll help the groups who are stuck and need an explanation on certain items.

Write a paragraph about the similarities and differences and what you think about the two stories. This should be a paragraph with complete sentences.

2- Once you have a card, hang on to it and read the story Fine and Mellow quietly to your self. There are copies on the clipboard in front of you.
3- Mark the text as you read:

1- We'll discuss "Fine and Mellow" and it's similarities to "The Landlady."
2- After our discussion, take the copy of the Venn diagram and together as a group complete the comparison and contrast of the two stories.
3- Each group needs to just complete ONE Venn diagram. Make sure you write your FIRST and LAST names on the top of the chart.
4- When you are done- in your Journals find a clean page and date it: 11/27/17
