GET YOUR OUTSIDERS BOOKS TO RETURN TO ME.
2- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE THINGS GO AND GET THEM.
3- FIND a PARTNER and sit next to them at a table.
BELL RINGER:
1- Take out your One Pager and read what you have to your partner. Explain your argument and how you are going to defend it.
2- Take turns and make sure you both get explain your arguments.
3- After your share-- discuss these questions:
4- If you have ANY problems with your partner's claim, argument, defense, evidence-- you need to tell them so they can fix it before I grade their One Pager.
CLASS ACTIVITY-
1- After I am done talking you can work on finishing your One Pagers for your Argumentative Essay. Read through the Argumentative Essay page and see what you need to accomplish.
2- Remember you will need to do a Works Cited so write a Works Cited DRAFT on your brainstorm sheet of where you get your three quotes.
3- YOU MUST HAVE THREE DIFFERENT WEB PAGES. You cannot have 3 quotes from the same web page. All three pieces of evidence/quotes have to be from different sources.
4- Make sure you use the Argumentative Essay page to write your source citations for the Works Cited correctly.
5- See the instructions below for instructions on how to accomplish your One Pager. "I didn't know" is not a proper answer when you leave something out of your assignment or do something wrong on your assignment. READ the instructions and FOLLOW them.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ARGUMENTATIVE ONE PAGERS--
Your TOPIC basically written out at the top- like a headline.
Your NAME on the back- first and last and your period.
• IN THE OVAL: Your CLAIM or thesis statement, with some main points and ideas that help to prove that thesis shown around it in words and, if you wish, images or symbols.
• IN THE THREE BOXES on the TOP right: Three significant quotations that help to prove your claim. Make sure you include MLA citations (author) or if you do not have an author the ("Web Page Title"). You might want bookmark your pages so you can do your works cited later. (WRITE THEM ON YOUR BRAINSTORM SHEET!)
•IN THE TWO DIALOGUE BOXES in the BOTTOM right: A point someone might make to show that your thesis is NOT true (a counter-argument). And your response to that counter-argument in the BOTTOM dialogue box in the bottom right
• IN THE BOTTOM LEFT: An image that somehow represents your argument or big ideas. If it is literal, and not symbolic, it needs to make sense.
- You can all add other symbols, drawings, and words that represent your argument as you wish.
6- Staple your brainstorm sheet to the back.

1- FINISH your 3rd 9 Weeks IRB and work on your IRB project.
