WHEN YOU WALK INTO THIS CLASSROOM-
READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebooks, and your IRB books, your calendar, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- Sit where you like- 4 to a table.
BELL RINGER:
1- Have your Calendar out on your tables.
2- If one of you can return the Wings sheets to everyone that would be great.
3- If you have any reflections to complete the sheet-- do this while we take roll and get settled.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- After you finish your 3 reflections, we'll share what we found.
2- After our discussion-- write an issue that you think is presented in the song lyrics or in the videos.
3- What is your stance (meaning what side are you on) regarding this issue? Pick one and finish one sentence starter on your chart.

5- Take your issue and start working on your Graphic Organizer posted in Google Classroom. Claims are due by Monday. If you can come up with one today-- you can get checked off and stamped.

1- READ-- Read your IRB books and work on your IRB Reading Guides.
2- WORK on your IRB projects- we start Book Talks on Wednesday 3/7 and Thinking and Writing pieces are due on Friday 3/9.

3- If you were absent anytime this week-- look at Google Classroom to catch up. Both Tuesday and Wednesday's assignment is posted and extra copies are in the Make Up work folders on the closet door.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
You have many things to accomplish today. Follow the list below and finish them. You have less than a week to Book Talks!
1- READ- you can spend the period reading your IRB books.
2- Work on your TWO IRB READING GUIDES. TWO are due by 3/7- the first day of Book Talks. Reading Guides will have to be given to me on the day you complete your book talk and on the Thinking and Writing Assignment due date-- so that I can match the book to your Reading Guide and your Writing Assignment.
3- You can also work on your BOOK TALKS due 3/7. You can turn in your visuals on the Google Classroom link for Book Talks- 50 points/60% grade
4- You can also WRITE your Thinking and Writing Assignments due 3/9. You can turn in your Google Doc on the Google Classroom link for Thinking and Writing Assignment- 50 points/60% grade.
Mrs. Watts WILL stamp you if you work and do what you need to do. You should be working quietly and not having a chat fest about the weekend. This is a SILENT work time. Get your stuff done so you don't have to do Homework to be prepared for presentations next week.

READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebooks, your NEW calendar, and a pen or pencil.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
2- Turn in your Blog Evaluation form to the White Turn In Box.
3- Sit where you like-- only 4 to a table, please.
BELL RINGER:
1- Pick up 3 colored pencils- sharpen them in the crank sharpener only.
2- Pick up the handout on the back counter.
3- Sit down and READ the lyrics to yourself.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We’ll first cold read the lyrics--underline with your 1st color to underline words and phrases that stick out to you as you read.
2- REFLECTION: After you read and underline words-- write 1-2 sentences about what you think the song is about.
3- We’ll then listen to the song with a video and use your 2nd color to CIRCLE words and phrases that stick out to you as you listen to the song.
4- REFLECTION: After you read and circle words-- write 1-2 sentences about what you now think the song is about.
5- We’ll then listen/watch the 3rd video and use your 3rd color to STAR lines and phrases that stick out to you as you listen to the song.
6- REFLECTION: After you read and star words-- write 1-2 sentences about what you now think the song is about.
7- We'll share what we found.

3- Sit with your Outcast Book Clubs today.
BELL RINGER:
1- Have your Calendar out on your tables.
2- Go to Google Classroom and find the Final Outcast Book Club Blogs assignment.
3- Take the Evaluation Sheet from the clipboard and fill out the top.
4- You'll evaluate 2 of the blogs. Look at the numbers on your clipboard to know which blogs you will evaluate.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- You and your group need to go through the Blog pages and read the reflections/watch the Animoto videos on each individual page.
2- You will also need to fill in the Google Form on the Homepage of each Blog.
3- You will have 10 minutes to spend on each Blog page.
4- Fill in your Evaluation form for each Blog page.
5- Forms are due into the White Turn In Box before you leave.
6- When you are done, and there is time, you can work on your IRB projects and Reading Guides.

2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS. If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- Sit with your Outcast Book Clubs today. If the tables are not set, please put them into the formation you are used to.

2- Have ONE member of your team post the publish link to your blog as a Class Comment (DO NOT TURN IN ANYTHING) in Google Classroom. You can still make changes, just make sure you hit publish after you have made changes.

CLASS ACTIVITY:
You have many things to accomplish today. Follow the list below and finish them IN ORDER. You might start at the top or in the middle of the list depending on how much work you accomplished this weekend.
1- FINISH Animoto Videos-- make sure you TITLE your video with your name and book title AND Produce your video when you are done.
2- POST your Animoto Videos to your Individual Blog page. Use a new TextBox to post it.
3- CHECK your Blog pages- make sure you go through the CHECKLIST on the Outcast Book Club page. You will Present Tomorrow in class.
4- If you are done with your INDIVIDUAL PAGE- then be sure to post your Blog Link and turn in all your Storyboard Sheets to the White TURN IN BOX. They are worth 10 points of your Animoto grade.
5- After updating Blogs and Animoto Videos- you can READ your IRB book.
6- You can also work on your TWO IRB READING GUIDES. TWO are due by 3/7- the first day of Book Talks.
7- You can also work on your BOOK TALKS due 3/7.
8- You can also WRITE your Thinking and Writing Assignments due 3/9.
LOTS TO DO- you NEED TO BE DOING SOMETHING LANGUAGE ARTS- No Math, Social Studies, Science. I have Go Guardian running- I know what you are doing- even on another browser.
Ms. Johnson WILL stamp you if you work and do what you need to do. You should be working quietly and not having a chat fest about your weekend. You can talk about your projects and help each other with Animotos and Blog pages, but keep your conversations focused or it will turn into a SILENT work time. Get your stuff done so you don't have to do Homework to be prepared for presentations tomorrow.
