TITLE: Spring Break Metaphor/Simile
Think of a metaphor or a simile to describe your break and then write about it. 8-10 sentences at least.
EXAMPLE: Spring break was a like being wrapped in a warm blanket that I had just finished knitting. Comforting and satisfying, even though I worked very hard. I spent a lot of time working on my house and unpacking boxes, hanging pictures, organizing closets, recovering chairs, and running around town buying supplies and furniture and other items to finish our decorating our house. It was really great doing basically nothing, but making our house a home. I listened to books and went on long walks around our new neighborhood and had some much needed down time. We usually travel during the break, but this time it was just as good to stay home. We did get a chance to eat out a few nights, and we visiting the Birmingham Museum of Art. I read several books and working on a short story for a literary magazine. Still, it was really very restful even though it was pretty busy.
