TITLE: Change the World Projects
3- You need to take notes on each topic and their websites. You can look at the site while they talk about their rationales and solutions.
4- Look at all the pages and then we'll write a short reflection on their topic and how we feel about their issue and their potential solutions.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- One person from your team has to post the published link to your blog page/google site as a CLASS COMMENT on the Google Classroom assignment link. Change the World Blog Project- Information and Blog Link Turn In- it is posted at the top of your GC page.
2- Make sure you hit PUBLISH first, then View Published Site and copy that link to post in GC.
3- We'll present our blogs and reflect in our journals.
4- When everyone is done, you will fill out two google forms on each webpage.
*** IF your group has not shared your google form with me-- or made the google form open to the public in their drive-- your visitors cannot see it and I cannot see it to grade you. Make that happen.

1- You need to have your Blog page open AND your ADI draft (just one copy) on your table. I will be checking you off for having your draft(s) in class.
2- Get 2 index cards from the back counter.
3- Write your name on the BLANK sides of each card. First and Last, please.
4- On ONE card, write down the left side of the lined card:

Leave a space between each line.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We are "SPEED" DATING today with your drafts.
2- One person will READ and one person will write an EVAL on one of their index cards. And then you will switch.
3- THE READER will read their ADI draft OUT loud to their partner. Keep in mind that there are others in the room so keep your voice appropriate for reading to someone directly across from you.
4- During the reading, the EVAL person should use one of their index cards and complete the following about the READER'S piece. Write while you are listening to them read.
At the top of index card:
Write the READER'S NAME
Write the type of piece they have written: ADI or Opinion
Under their name EVALUATE their piece in this way:
CLAIM: What is their claim?
EVIDENCE: What is their proof?
JUSTIFICATION: Just answer YES/NO they did justify their CLAIM.
GRAMMAR: Did their essay make SENSE? Tell them where you were confused.You can write in short phrases or sentences. One for each should be fine. You can discuss this with them if you need to tell them more information.
5- After the reading, the EVAL person should discuss what they wrote on their card with their READER.
6- The EVAL person needs to give the card to their READER when they are done talking. Talk until the timer goes off.
7- STAPLE your evaluation card to your ADI essay (on the back).
8- You should take the suggestions from your EVAL person and incorporate them into your writing piece.

CLASS ACTIVITY:
You should be working on your BLOGS TODAY.
1- You will be writing a multi-paragraph opinion essay to post on your blog page about your topic for your group's webpage.
2- Make sure you have the following on your HOME PAGES:
An image describing or relating to your issue;
Links to relatable and credible articles about your issue (they can be from your Initial research document):
Your team RATIONALE and SOLUTION or ACTION about your issue; and
"Tell Us What You Think" about this issue Google Form.
3- Make sure you have the following on your INDIVIDUAL PAGES:
An image describing or relating to your subtopic;
Research about your subtopic; and
A multi-paragraph Opinion Piece about your subtopic. This is your Opinion piece based on your Brainstorm Outline that you turned in on 11/9.
Copies of your MLA citations from your Brainstorm sheet- called a Works Cited.
Remember your grade is also based on the following:
