1- You need your Chromebooks, your calendar, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- If you are on the working lunch list- sit at those designated tables.
4- If you are not on the working lunch list-- you may sit at the other tables with who you like. If there is too much talking we will start to have assigned seating. Do not mess it up for the rest of your class.

2- You need to have your IRB Reading Guide out with your Calendar. This IRB Reading Guide should be on the book your are completing your Thinking and Writing Assignment on today.
3- If you have not logged in a book you have read this 3rd 9 Weeks- do it today.
4- Please note that your last day to turn in any late work is TODAY.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
You can spend the period working on any of the following:
1- Thinking and Writing assignments on your 2nd IRB-- DUE TODAY.
2- Writing your Argumentative Essay- DUE March 16.
3- You can also start reading The Outsiders.
2- Write what you are working on in today's date on your calendar. You should be working on this when I come around to stamp you and collect your IRB Reading Guide.
3- You must turn in Reading Guides to the White Turn In box before you leave class today. Thinking and Writing Assignments can be turned into Google Classroom until this evening.

2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- Sit at the same table you sat at yesterday.

2- If your name is on the Working Lunch list- you will sit on Working Lunch unless I take you off the list.

4- Please take a few minutes to post your link to your Book Talk Visual as a Class Comment (NOT a Private Comment) on the Book Talks Post on Google Classroom.
5- You need to also have your IRB Reading Guide out. Leave it next to your computer and open the link
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- In your Journal- start a new page.

TITLE: Book Talks for 3rd 9 Weeks
As you move from table to table, you need to list the books you view and write a sentence or 2 to 3 bullet points about each book.
2- You will have 6 minutes at each table. If you don't make it to each computer, don't worry- view as many Book Talks as you can.
3- Once we're done with looking at the visuals- you can work on your Thinking and Writing assignment or your Argumentative Essay.
4- You can also read The Outsiders.

1- IRB Thinking and Writing Assignment Due TOMORROW Friday 3/9.
2- Argumentative Essay Due Friday 3/16.
Today is Wednesday, March 7
WHEN YOU WALK INTO THIS CLASSROOM-
READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebooks, your calendar, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- Come and get a card from me or Mr. Butler- so you know where to sit.
Sit according to SUITS or if you have a King or Queen. DO NOT BEND THE CARDS. Once you are seated- put the cards on the clipboards.

2- If your name is on the Working Lunch list- you can work on getting off this list during class. Your due dates do not change- so your Graphic Organizer is still due today.

CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Take a few minutes to look at the sample essay. Sample Essay
It is a literary argumentative essay, but it will help you see parts of the essay that you MUST have- a claim (yellow), the acknowledgment of the opposite side of the argument (green), the parenthetical internal citations (blue), and the Works Cited (purple).
2- Organizers are TODAY- you must turn them into Google Classroom by the end of the day.
3- Remember Book Talk Visuals are due IN CLASS tomorrow with your IRB Reading Guide for your book. You will NOT have class time to work on this. Please post the link to your Animoto or Screencastify in the Class Comments of the posted Google Classroom assignment.

3- Sit 4 to a table- you must work, so if you are sitting with people who distract you- MOVE or SIT at another table. If you are distracting I will move you.
