1- You need your IRB and your Chromebook.
2- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE THINGS GO AND GET THEM NOW. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE BELL RINGS-- YOU WILL SIT IN SILENT LUNCH.
3-Sit in the rectangled tables in every other chair.
4-If you have not TURNED IN your Station Packets-- I will still take them for partial credit until 1/23 after this date it is a zero. If they are complete put them into the WHITE Turn In Box.
BELL RINGER:
1- Renew books, return books, and find your IRB if you need to.
2- Make sure you do not have a book due in the next two weeks- we wont return to the Library until 1/25 so update your due dates while we are here.
3- If you are still on the overdue list today you are sitting in Silent Lunch.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Take a post it note from your table and set up your reading goal for next Friday 1/18.
2- On the post it note- write: Your name, the title of your book, the date 1/18/19, and the page you want to read to by next Friday.
3- When you are done, I'll discuss the IRB changes for this 9 Weeks.
4- When I'm set up I'll call you up to conference wiht me.
5- Read the rest of the period to make your reading goal for next week.
HOMEWORK:
1- Work on Graphic Organizer of your Hero Story.
2- Read your 3rd 9 Week's IRB. You need to finish your 1st book by the end of the month 1/31.
TODAY IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 10
READ THIS AND DO THIS NOW!
1- You need your AGENDA, your Chromebook, and a Pen or Pencil.
2- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE THINGS GO AND GET THEM NOW. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE BELL RINGS-- YOU WILL SIT IN SILENT LUNCH.
3-Sit in your same seats as yesterday.

BELL RINGER:
1- Open your Chromebooks and clear all tabs except Google Classroom. Save all work and close everything.
2- Once prompted take the “Theseus and the Minotaur” Quiz posted in Google Classroom.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Once you are done with your quiz and have submitted your answers-- you can work on your Hero’s Journey story in your Graphic Organizer.
2- Remember to follow the Monomyth Clock.

2- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE THINGS GO AND GET THEM NOW. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE BELL RINGS-- YOU WILL SIT IN SILENT LUNCH.
3-Sit in your same seats as yesterday.
4-TURN IN your Station Packets if they are complete to the WHITE Turn in box.
BELL RINGER:
1- If 2 or 3 people could pass back all the work in the Red Return Work Box, that would be great.
2- While they are returning work, set up your Journal:
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- Once you have written your paragraph, we'll discuss your Hero Story.
2- You are writing a hero story using the 4 items you used from the chart.
3- Use the Graphic Organizer to take your hero through their journey. You can open it on Google Classroom.
4- Once you are done with the Graphic Organizer you can type out the story in a document for bonus points.

STATION ONE: Reading
1- Read the short story "Theseus and The Minotaur."
2- You can also listen to it while you read- do not just listen, listen AND follow along with the Text.

1- Finish reading/listening to "Theseus and The Minotaur" using the same links in Station One.
2- When you are done reading- write a reflection on your station sheet.
3- What is a Hero? Write a paragraph (5 sentences +) in the box and explain what you think defines a hero after reading the traditional Greek myth.
STATION THREE: Slideshow
1- Read through the slide show about Hero Archetypes.
2- Make sure you read all the slides and think about what kinds of examples come to mind while you are reading through the different archetypes.
STATION FOUR: Defining
1- On your Station sheet, complete the definitions and the examples for each term based on the slide show in Station Four.
2- If you can't think of an example from a film, TV show, or book, you can discuss it with your group.
STATION FIVE: Analysis
1- Fill out the last sheet of your packet-- Elements of the Epic Hero Cycle
2- Use "Theseus and The Minotaur" to fill in the table. You need to write a short description of what happened in the story to match the element with in the Hero's Journey cycle.
3- You can discuss this with your group and help each other find the answers.

1- You need your STATION PACKET, AGENDA, your Chromebook, IRB, a Pen or Pencil. If you have want your ear buds go and get them if you want to/need to listen to the audio book.
2- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE THINGS GO AND GET THEM NOW. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE BELL RINGS-- YOU WILL SIT IN SILENT LUNCH.
2-Come and pick a card and sit at the appropriate tables.

1- Update your weekly schedule in your Agenda. We are going to the library on Friday.
2- Have your packets out on your table.

1- We'll watch The Hero's Journey video together.
2- We'll discuss the levels in the Hero's Journey and look at the last page of your packet.
3- Once we're done with our discussion, you'll have time to finish your station work from yesterday.
4- When you are done, turn your packets into the White Turn In Box.
5- If there is time-- you can read your 3rd 9 weeks IRB.

2- Sit at a table with a clipboard.
BELL RINGER:
1- Fill out the weekly schedule in your Agenda.
2- Put all your items except your chromebook, ear buds, and a pen or pencil on the black counter.
3- Take a Hero's station sheet from the clipboard.
4- Fill out the top and read through the different station descriptions.
5- You will have 8 minutes per station.
