2- Please note that your last day to turn in any .01 work is next Thursday 5/10

CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We'll discuss the Field Trip.2- We'll continue to discuss the Field Trip. We'll spend part of the class looking at the Primary Source Documents on the Webpage.
3- Complete the Primary Source activity in Google Classroom.
4- Once you finish you can work on finishing your Journal for the Journal Check or finish your Thinking and Writing assignment.
5- If you are all caught up, you can work on Journal #1 for your Birmingham Project- we'll continue this activity on Monday 5/7.
Homework:
1- Book Talk Thinking and Writing Assignments Due TODAY to Google Classroom.
2- Journal Check #5 Due on Monday 5/7.
Today is Thursday, May 3
WHEN YOU WALK INTO THIS CLASSROOM
READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebooks, your JOURNAL, and a pen or pencil.
2- GO GET THESE THINGS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS TO ASK TO GET THESE ITEMS.
If you are not prepared for class- you will sit in silent lunch.
3- Sit in your assigned seats today.
4- Put everything on the black counter except your Chromebook, your Journal, your IRB packet, and a pen or pencil.
BELL RINGER:
1- Pick up a Calendar from the back counter. Fill out the top and have it by your Chromebooks.
2- Please note that your last day to turn in any .01 work is next Thursday 5/10
3- Please take a few minutes to post your link to your Book Talk Visual as a Class Comment (NOT a Private Comment) on the Book Talks Post on Google Classroom.
4- You need to also have your IRB Reading Guide out. Leave it next to your Chromebook and open the link to your Animoto.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- In your Journal- start a new page.
DATE: 5/3/18
TITLE: Book Talks for the 4th 9 Weeks
As you move from table to table, you need to list the books you view and write a sentence or 2 to 3 bullet points about each book.
2- You will have 6 minutes at each table. If you don't make it to each Chromebook, don't worry- view as many Book Talks as you can.
3- Once we're done with looking at the visuals- you can work on your Thinking and Writing assignment or make sure your Journal is set for Monday's Journal Check.
4- Turn in your IRB Packets to the White Turn In Box before you leave.

2- HAVE THESE THINGS/SHARPEN PENCILS BEFORE CLASS--DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CLASS STARTS.

1- Finish your Character Charts/Sketches for the Birmingham Project.
2- Turn them into the White Turn In Box.
3- Work on IRB Projects when you have completed the Character Charts.
CLASS ACTIVITY
1- Work on your IRB Book Talk/BHH Animoto- they are due IN CLASS TOMORROW. If your video is not ready- you will lose 10 points off the top and 5 points every day until you post it.
2- Turn in your PUBLISHED LINK in a CLASS COMMENT on the Book Talk post in Google Classroom.
3- You need to have an IRB packet completed with your Book Talk.
4- Work on your IRB Thinking and Writing Assignment- due Friday turn in on Google Classroom.

3- Go to the Bumpus Goes to Birmingham webpage and read through the project-- read the writing task specifically at the top of the page.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We'll discuss the project and look at the project samples.
2- We'll work on creating our character for our diary/journal entries with a free write activity and working on our character sheet.
3- FIRST- we'll free write an introduction--
4- Now let's look at some primary source documents to get information to detail out your character.
