UNIT QUESTION:
What social injustice does your author face in his/her memoir? How do they cope with the injustice, how do they fight or survive the injustice, and what is the societal outcome of their experience?
BOOK TRAILERS:
1- Your team must make a Storyboard of your pics and what captions you will use FIRST. Storyboard template.
2- You need to find 8 IMAGES that work with your book. These can be pictures from the internet. Just do a rough sketch or describe what kind of picture you are looking for in the image box on the storyboard.
3- WRITE a caption for EACH picture-- you will use this in your Animoto video.

4- When you get into the account go to CREATE.
5- Choose your STYLE.
6- You can upload your own pictures, but you need to use the music that is on the account.
You can also create text slides if you need them.
Make sure you "name" your video with your group names- NO last names.
7- Once you are done re-creating your storyboard-PREVIEW your video.
8- Check your grammar.
9- If you are happy with the preview- then you can PRODUCE it and it will save to the dashboard.
10- COPY the link and turn the link into Google Classroom.

ORGANIZE YOUR TOPICS
THE TOPICS BELOW CORRESPOND TO THE NUMBERS ON YOUR TABLES:
- Research and analysis of the social injustice(s) faced by your author.
- Research and analysis of the major characters or minor characters in the novel-- what happened to them after the story.
- Research and analysis of the history/background of the time period.
- Research and analysis of the events your subjects faced in the novel.
WRITE THE OUTLINE

Create an outline to focus YOUR OWN information and to organize and complete the outline form.
- Your Body should have TWO MAIN POINTS, each point being the two subjects you are presenting to the group.
- You should cite your page numbers to support where your information is being taken from within your book.
- You will need a complete Works Cited for your project which includes all your picture sources, any outside internet research, and your book.
Follow the Outline Graphic Organizer in order to complete your outline.
WORKS CITED and INTERNAL CITATIONS
You must create a Works Cited page at the end of your Outline and cite your sources within the text of your outline as well.
Works Cited format should follow these samples:
FOR A BOOK:
Author last name, First name. Title of Book. City of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Medium of Publication.
FOR A WEBSITE:
Last Name, First Name. "Page Title." Website title. Sponsoring Institution/Publisher, Publication Date. Medium. Date Accessed.
After you have written the Works Cited, tell me within the outline where each source is used. After the sentence(s) taken from your book or article do the following:
In Poland, the concentration camps were brutal, (Klein 45).
In the parenthesis is the author of the book you found the information and the number is the page number where you found the information. This should be done for ALL information taken from your text or web research. If your web article has no author, just use the Page Title from the website.

- Your group will create a Book Trailer using Animoto.
- Your group will first create a storyboard for your book trailer as a rough sketch of your video.
- Your group will present your trailers in class after your Final Exam.
- You should make sure your trailer answers the following essential questions:
- What was the main social injustice that your characters faced in your novel and how did they overcome or fight this injustice throughout the book? Were they SUCCESSFUL in their fight?
- Use images and text to tell us about your book as well as answer the question about the social injustice(s) that they faced in your memoirs.
