READ AND DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebooks, a pen or pencil, and your IRB.
If you do not have these items GET THEM NOW.
2- If your pencil needs sharpening- DO THIS BEFORE CLASS- I don't have a sharpener, so visit one of the other classrooms on the hall and get this DONE. Otherwise- use a PEN.
3- Sit in the first four desks near the windows.
BELL RINGER:
1- Renew books, borrow books, do your Library business first.
2- Log your new books into the Google Form:

CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- READ! You can sit in the comfy chairs if you like or on the floor. There is NO TALKING. We're focusing on making our reading goals.
2- IF you have made your reading goal- you need to check in with me and get your Reading Grade for the week.
3- If you have not passed your post-it, you can read for the period and try and make it.
4- You need to get a new reading goal for next week- I'll have post-it's on my table when you come and talk to me.
5- If you finished your book earlier, and put your post-it in your journal, just leave it there.

4- Clear your desks except for your Journals and Chromebooks. Put everything else in the basket under your desk. Do not put them on the floor, if you slide it in from the back, everything will fit.
BELL RINGER:1- In your Journal, find yesterday's question you wrote about the Holocaust. Remember your question can be anything about the Holocaust that you want to know, are curious about and can find research to support an answer.
2- In the first 10 minutes of class- finish your research on your Chromebook. Write your notes in your journal. Keep looking at different websites for other options to answer your question.
3- IF you can't find information or details to answer your question, ask your table mates to help you.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- When you are done with your research- open the question sheet in Google Classroom and complete it.
2- You can talk to your table mates at any time to get help with your research and finishing your activity.
3- If you get done with your research activity sheet you can complete other homework or read. Check INOW and make sure you are all caught up for me.
4- Reading goals need to be met by tomorrow! It is a grade.

2- Under yesterday's entry, write a short paragraph about what you thought about the interview with Elie Wiesel and Oprah, and what you thought of our discussion yesterday. 3- Be ready to share your entry with people around you.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We'll share our reflection with our classmates and discuss what we learned, what we thought, and what we want to know more about.
2- We’ll finish watching the video about Elie Wiesel.
3- We’ll discuss Auschwitz and what happened there. We’ll also discuss how Anne Frank and her family suffered at this camp.
4- After our discussion I want you to write one question you have about the Holocaust. It can be about ANYTHING regarding the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel, Anne Frank or the Secret Annex. Write the question in your journal.
5- If we have time, I want you to use your Chromebook and look up the answer to your question and write it in your journal. Be ready to share it tomorrow.

2- Write every thing you know about or think you know about concentration camps. You can list them or bullet point them. Write at least 10 things off the top of your head.

1- We’ll watch a short video about Elie Wiesel and write a reflection about what we watch.
2- Write what you thought about the video(s) under you list of what you thought about the Concentration Camps.
3- We’ll discuss Auschwitz and what happened there. We’ll also discuss how Anne Frank and her family suffered at this camp.
4- If there is time left, you can log into CommonLit and finish your assignments from yesterday. They need to be completed by Thursday if you have not already done them.

2- You can look at your notes in your Journal or the study guide posted on Google Classroom.
CLASS ACTIVITY:
1- We'll take the Anne Frank & The Secret Annex Quiz: Each multiple choice question and matching question is worth 1 point, and the paragraph is worth 5 points. TOTAL: 25 points
2- When you are done with your quiz and have submitted it, you can log into CommonLit and read the two assignments posted for you. If you do not remember your login information from last year, I'll put it on the screen for you. If you do not have an assignment, let me know.
3- You should read the short article "Who Was Anne Frank" and the poem "First They Came" and answer the Assessment and Discussion questions after you have read BOTH articles.
