2- Work on IXL Assignment #1 on the IXL Page. It is due 10/9. Work on it a little at a time- do not wait until the last day to complete this assignment.

2- Work with your group to get to at least 70% or raise your score to 80% to receive extra credit.
3- Collectively you should be helping each other answer the questions to get your minimum score or get the extra credit.
4- If you understand all the grammar then help the others in your group.
5- Use Grammar Monster to look up grammar terms you do not know or need help understanding.
6- You'll have 7 minutes per station. I'll help the groups who are stuck and need an explanation on certain items.

DO THIS NOW:
1- You need your Chromebook and a pen or pencil. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS GO GET IT NOW.
2-Find a partner and sit across from them at one of the tables.
3- ON your chromebook pull up your Essay to read to your partner once class starts.
4- DO ALL OF YOUR BUSINESS DURING PASSING TIME- Stop coming to class to ask-- do it and then get settled-- get your things, get your drink of water, use the bathroom. If you come in after the bell you are tardy and you will sign the log. That's it. If you're late, you're late. Manage your time wisely.

1- Get 2 index cards from the table basket and write your FULL name and PERIOD on the LINED SIDE at the TOP of the card.
2- ON the BLANK Side of one card- Write the name of your Partner at the TOP of the card- leave room for notes.
3- Then write K-W-L down the left margin of the card. Make sure you skip lines between each letter.

1- We'll take turns with the partners on our table reading our drafts out to each other.
2- The partner facing the windows will read first. The partner facing the door will evaluate using the KWL form.
3- After your partner has read their essay to you, write one thing you
4- On the blank side under their name, write notes on how they can improve or revise their essay. Write at least 2 things they can do to IMPROVE their writing.
5- Now switch-- The partner facing the door will read next. The partner facing the window will evaluate using the KWL form and repeat #3 and #4 above.
6- When you are done, trade cards and work on revising using their notes. If we have time we'll do it once more with the partners on your table.
7- Tomorrow we will have revision stations in class to help finish your essay. Your final essay is due tomorrow at 3:30pm.
