I will not do anything past 2020 for the history sections unless they were born after 2020, as many events are too recent. Website still incomplete.
The Countryhuman world is a world that exists parallel to Earth and is a place that personifications can travel to at will. Many personifications live there alongside a home on Earth. Personifications will often refer to it as "The Land In-Between" or call it the personification version of a godly realm. Anything that a personification has that it touching their skin when they wish to travel there will come with them, including pets and humans. While pets are fine to live in this real, for humans, long exposure forces them to see the more eldritch side of personifications, and most are driven to madness.
This world has the ability to preserve whatever enters it. A personification could bring a letter into this world and leave it there for one thousand years, and it will still look as untouched as the day it was written. This allows personifications to store things there for hundreds of years and ensures personal artifacts are not taken from them or lost to the sands of time.
Personifications often conduct personal business between themselves here, and many empires chose to make their colonies live there so the empire could keep a better eye on them. However, many personifications no longer live there full time, and it is less a functioning town and more a ghost town as the years go by.
When in this realm, the stars are unique to each personification, and each is able to see the sky as they would from home. The larger their land is, the more stars they are able to see. This world also bears a graveyard holding graves for many now-deceased personifications, although not everyone has a grave. Burials started in the 1400s and have continued from there.
No one knows when this word was created, but the Ancient Greek personifications were the first to discover and use it. Very much on accident, but since it has been used as a place for countryhumans to gain some privacy from humans.
Most importantly, if there is some sort of crisis like war or a coup happening in a personification's land, they are unable to travel to this world. If they are in it, they are pulled back to their land. This is to prevent the personifications from fleeing strife and war in their land. If there is a state of emergency declared, they are also prevented from traveling to the Countryhumans World. However, if there is a state of emergency but no actual emergency, they can still travel to the Countryhumans World, it just makes the personification dizzy, tired, and fatigued.
Thanks to Angel for helping generate ideas for this section, especially the stars headcanon and the name "The Land In-Between." Check out her socials and stories by using the links on the home page.
