I will not do anything past 2020 for the history sections unless they were born after 2020, as many events are too recent. Website still incomplete.
Kansas, also known by her human name, Dorothy Amelia Washington, is a loyal, kind, and determined girl who doesn't let anything get her down. She is very optimistic and has a remarkable ability to bounce back from adversaries and strife. She is very cheerful and bubbly, although can be incredibly snarky.
She is very loyal to her family and adores them, especially her older siblings. She hates disappointing any of her family. She wants to do her best to make others proud and be a useful and valuable member of her family. She was born in a very contentious time, too, so she can sometimes be a bit too eager to be agreeable and do what is needed to make others happy in order to keep a sense of peace around.
Kansas is very kind and loves to help others. She is someone who can light up whatever room she is in and makes people around her happy. She has a very bright personality and likes using it to make people happy. Kansas does not like to see others trapped in their sadness, especially after her experiences with polio and being paralyzed, and tries her best to have a bright attitude.

Kansas is five foot three and physically twenty-one. She has hazel eyes that are yellow-brown and wavy, brown hair that falls to her mid-torso. She has a light smattering of freckles across her body and glasses. She is also in a wheelchair due to paralysis that developed from polio. Her wheelchair has sunflower wheel covers.
In country form, her face is her flag, with the blue carrying down the rest of her body. On both of her hands, she has the sunflower from her flag.
In human form, she is mixed but called white, 75.6 White-24.4 POC, based on the 2020 census (this is also a very loose definition, but I am trying to give you a good baseline for "mixed"). The largest ethnic groups are German, Irish, English, Mexican, and African American.
Kansas is slim.
Kansas has the animal features of a bison, an ox, and a horse, with bison horns, horse ears, an ox tail, and patches of bison fur on her upper chest. She has had these features since birth.
Kansas was paralyzed due to polio in 1916 and was in a wheelchair after that. Other than that, her appearance has stayed the same.
From May 30, 1854 to July 4, 1858, Kansas had a dulled version of the 31 star flag.
From July 4, 1858 to July 4, 1859, Kansas had a dulled version of the 32 star flag.
From July 4, 1859 to July 4, 1861, Kansas had a dulled version of the 33 star flag.
From May 25, 1861 to March 23, 1927, Kansas used the state seal. However, between 1925 and March 23, 1927, Kansas also had a state banner (right). While the banner was de facto, Kansas was able to switch between her seal and this banner, but lost the ability when she gained her first flag.
From March 23, 1927 to September 24, 1961, Kansas had this first version of her flag.
