Britain, also known by his human name of Jack Henry Fitzroy, is a controlling and calculating individual who thinks he is always in the right. He hates being denied control and will use whatever force he sees necessary to keep it. He views his control over people as love, as he thinks the only way his family can be safe and happy is with him.
Britain also has a very warped perspective on love. He thinks that love and hurt have to go hand in hand together. He is controlling and abusive, but he sees it as necessary. He genuinely believes he is not in the wrong for hurting someone if it is to "fix" something about them. He thinks that he is helping and cannot see that it is wrong, as it is the only style of parenting he really knows.
He cares about people in a weird way and struggles to understand and regulate his emotions, making him prone to emotional outbursts and fits of rage. His anger always worsens when someone disobeys him, causing him to become violent, further worsening his abusive behaviors. While many of his former colonies will say that he does not care about anyone other than himself, he cares very deeply for others but just never knows how to express it.
Ironically, he is very sensitive in nature, but he buries it deep down, seeing it as a weakness that he cannot have. He tries to be open with people that he trusts and cares about but struggles to express himself at times, very emotionally unaware.
Britain is also a massive theater kid and enjoys going to plays and musicals, which help him calm down and turn off the storm of emotions inside him. It is also the method of how he chooses to see the world, seeing everyone and everything as actors, and his role is to find out how everyone "acts" and twist it to his advantage. Britain also likes to see himself as a scientist, as his colonies as experiments that he has to "perfect."

Britain is five foot four in height and a physical age of thirty-five. He has hazel eyes, brown-blueish, and wavy, dark brown hair. He has a beard that is thicker in his country form as it comes from his mane. There is no mustache, and the beard is not long, but thick. The hair on his bear is a lighter brown than the hair on his head.
While in country form, his skin is that of his flag, with the blue traveling down the rest of his body. His hands have small Union Jacks on them, as well as a larger one on his chest.
In human form, he looks white, with his largest ethnic groups being British (76.8%), Indian (2.9%), Pakistani (2.5%), and African (2.4%).
Britain is lanky and not very muscular.
Britain has the animal traits of a lion and the red dragon, with a mane, fur patches on his back and chest, wings, dragon claws, scale patches on his body, dragon ears, slitted pupils, and a dragon tail. He gained the dragon traits in 2007 when experimenting with alternative versions of the Union Jack and the lion traits on March 24, 1603.
Britain during his time as an empire used to be much taller and looked more mixed, African-Asian, and didn’t look very white.
From April 14, 1536 to March 24, 1603, Britain had an English flag.
From March 24, 1603 to April 12, 1606, Britain had the Scottish royal banner.
From April 12, 1606 to January 1, 1801, Britain had the first version of the Union Jack.
In 2007, Britain, having no real official flag, changed his face to this one to test what it would look like. In doing so he gained his dragon traits, and has not used the flag since.
Britain is a replacement of the original Britain, who was killed by England shortly after birth (see The Birth of An Empire oneshot for context), and therefore, his parent is the Britain from before. However, Britain does not acknowledge his status as a replacement, instead choosing to believe that he is the original Britain since the first one died so quickly after birth.
Britain sees England and Wales as his biological parents but never refers to them as such since their relationship was so awkward when he was younger. However, if you were to ask Britain who his father was, he would tell you it was Scotland, as the man began to foster him when James I took the throne. This relationship fell apart as Britain grew into an empire, as Scotland hated Britain's abusive and neglectful behaviors, disowning Britain, and the emotional betrayal that Britain has not recovered from, as he believed he was in the right with his behavior.
