State of Nevada

Nevada, also known by his human name of Mateo Henry Washington, is a snarky, fun-loving guy who cares deeply for others. Nevada has a great sense of humor and really enjoys spending time with his siblings and having fun. He enjoys nature a lot and loves spending time outside.

Nevada is very proud of his state and hates when people boil him down to just being Las Vegas. Nevada can get snappy and argumentative when people try to do that, and can turn into a massive asshole toward those people. He does not like being seen as a gambler or immoral in Las Vegas, and it makes him feel as if he is unable to be happy about other things in his state.

Nevada also cares deeply about his family and friends and values them highly. He takes a very physical approach to his problems and believes that most problems can be solved through some form of physical action. He does not like sitting around and can be very bad with words, especially when it comes to emotional conversations. He is more likely to express his feelings through actions because of this.

Physical Description

Nevada is five foot five and physically twenty-one. He has heterochromia, with his right eye being gray and his left eye being dark brown. His gray eye is silver and star-shaped (the star on his flag) when he is in country form. He has curly dark brown hair that falls to his shoulders, and he wears hearing aids, as well as a missing fingertip from his left middle finger.

In country form, his face is his flag, with the dark blue traveling down the rest of his body. The canton of his flag surrounds his right eye in a way that makes his right eye act as the star in the canton. While he does not have freckles, he still has silver and gold stars dotted across his body. He also has the sagebrush branches from around his canton circling his wrists and ankles.

In human form, he is called Latino, 51.2 White-48.8 POC, based on the 2020 census (this is also a very loose definition, but I am trying to give you a good baseline for "mixed"). The largest ethnic groups are Latino, German, Filipino, African American, and Irish.

He is round in body shape, and some people might describe him as overweight.

From March 2, 1861 to February 24, 1866, Nevada's face was the territorial seal, almost identical to the state seal (aside from 'All For Our Country' replacing 'Volens et Potens), which was his face until February 25, 1905.
