I will not do anything past 2020 for the history sections unless they were born after 2020, as many events are too recent. Website still incomplete.
State of South Dakota
Dakȟóta itókaga
South Dakota, also known by her human name of Kate Faith Washington, is a cheery jokester who loves to make people laugh. She is a very joyful and giggly person who likes to do what she can to make others happy. She is very extroverted and likes to spend time with others.
She is not one to be embarrassed easily and takes any and all of her eccentricities into stride. It is a mix of high self-confidence and not caring how others perceive her. She likes being who she is and finds the idea of changing herself to fit social standards or her "role" in society boring.
She can be a bit old-fashioned and does not care much for modern inventions, preferring to stick to what she knows and is comfortable with. She likes having something in her life that is solid and does not change, and likes adhering to a schedule or routine that is familiar.

South Dakota is five foot two and physically twenty. She has hazel eyes that are bluish in color and straight dirty-blonde hair that falls down to her boobs. She has glasses and a below-the-knee amputation on her left leg.
In country form, her face is her flag, with the light blue traveling down her body. On her knees, elbows, and hands, she has the sun from her flag.
In human form, she appears white, 80.7 White-19.3 POC, based on the 2020 census (this is also a very loose definition, but I am trying to give you a good baseline for "mixed"). The largest ethnic groups are German, Norwegian, Irish, Native American, and English.
She is what is stereotypically seen as overweight, with a round body shape.
South Dakota has the animal traits of a cow and a horse, with a horse tail, cow ears, and fur patches across her body. She has had those traits since birth.
South Dakota lost her leg during the Vietnam War. Other than that, she has looked pretty much the same.
From November 2, 1889 to January 9, 1909, South Dakota used her seal.
From January 9, 1909 to March 11, 1963, South Dakota had a duel-sided flag, obverse (top) and reverse (bottom).
From March 11, 1963 to November 9, 1992, South Dakota's flag was this one, nearly identical to the current one, aside from the bottom text.
