Arkansas, also known by their human name Zachery “Zak” Goddard Washington, is a very gentle soul who is very loyal to their people and their family. He cares deeply for people and can be a bit of a people pleaser, not wanting to hurt those he's close to. This has also led to their more compromising nature, with Arkansas willing to compromise on issues for the sake of not hurting anyone. However, Arkansas is not one to put aside his own morals for the sake of compromise and is willing to go against compromise in order to stay by what his morals may be.

Arkansas is also a very social person who enjoys hanging out with friends and just being around people. They do not like being alone and prefer to be around others, whether it's friends or family. Arkansas is a big fan of group activities, whether it's hiking or going out to a bar. Arkansas is also very good at adapting to his environment and is comfortable in both cities and rural areas.

Arkansas is a very gentle soul, and while he has participated in wars, he doesn't like witnessing death and will go out of his way to avoid witnessing it. He can be aware of it happening and be fine with that, but it is the act of witnessing death that makes him squeamish. Arkansas tries to resolve his guilt in the deaths he has witnessed by taking care of sick and injured animals he finds or is informed of, as it makes him feel better about having seen death.

Physical Description

Arkansas is five foot and physically twenty-two. He has blue eyes and straight brown hair that goes to his shoulders. He has freckles, and his ears are pierced with diamond studs.

In country form, his face is his flag, and the red carries down the rest of his body. His hands are white, and on his hands, he has the four blue stars from the center of his flag.

In human form, he is mixed but white-passing, 70.2 White-29.8 POC, based on the 2020 census (this is also a very loose definition, but I am trying to give you a good baseline for "mixed"). The largest ethnic groups are Scots-Irish, English, German, and African American.

He is slim and skinny and very narrow in his features.

Animal Features

Arkansas has eagle wings, giving them the traits of wings and tail feathers. They have had these features since 1835, when their new territorial seal was made. Their wingspan is 13.4 ft.

Historical Description

Arkansas has looked the same for much of his life, although he only grew his hair out longer in the 1990s and pierced his ears in the 1970s, alongside not having his eagle traits before 1835.
