Hungary, also known by his human name of Csikós Attila István (Western Spelling: Attila István Csikós), is a very stubborn and traumatized individual. He is very proud of who he is and of his nation's history, even if he was not there for much of it. Hungary is someone who is very resistant to authority, as it has been used to harm him for much of his life.
He is also very suspicious of people and things, due to his time as a satellite, but if someone does have his trust, he views them very highly. It is hard for him to make friends as he comes off as rude and cold, but that is mainly a defense he uses to protect himself from the harm he sees in everyone.
Hungary is snarky and can often be bullheaded, but he is still an incredibly intelligent individual. He knows how to understand people and knows how to make the best of a bad situation. He knows how to work his way out of problems, but isn't great at emotional intelligence, as he is afraid of confronting his own trauma, preferring to find someone to blame.
Hungary is also not aware of his own sexuality, choosing to repress it rather than to face his own feelings on who he likes and anything along those lines. He knows he is not normal but likes to pretend that he just hasn't found "the one," so he doesn't have to acknowledge his feelings, even if he is well aware that they exist.

Hungary is four foot ten in height and a physical age of twenty-one. He has brown eyes and brown hair that is cropped short and straight. He wears glasses.
While in country form, his skin is that of his flag, with the green traveling down the rest of his body. His arms are white, and his hands are red. His legs hold the stripes from his flag.
In human form, he looks white, with his largest ethnic groups being Hungarian (93.5%), Romani (3.2%), and German (1.9%).
Hungary is a very fit person who is very lanky.

Hungary has looked the same in human form his entire life, but didn’t start wearing glasses until 1957. However, he did not have the red on his hands until May 23, 1957, upon gaining that new flag. Until then, he had white hands like his arms.

Hungary has had multiple Kuvasz dogs throughout his life. The first one was a male named Szoviet Harapófogó (Soviet Biter) who Hungary owned between 1989 to 2001. The second one he owned was another male that he had from 2001 to 2015, named Bátor. His current dog is named Kincső, and Hungary got her in 2015.
