Chad, also known by his human name of Abdoulaye Hassan, is a stern and proud man who can come off as uncaring or aloof.
Chad’s sternness can make him appear mean or even outright aggressive. However, Chad is not that way; he just has a very stern demenor and behavior, and isn’t one to take bullshit. He does not have a very good sense of humor, and often does not get jokes, leading to a reputation of not being a fun person to be around or a wet blanket.
Chad is also a very proud man of his people and his heritage, something that can add to a personality that many do not like. Because of this, Chad can struggle with keeping friends, as many people don’t like his “unbearable” personality. Despite this, Chad is still very confident in himself, believing that if someone doesn’t want to “put up” with him, then he doesn’t want to put up with them.

Chad is five foot eight in height and a physical age of twenty-three. Chad has dark brown eyes, black hair that is cropped short, but still shaggy and is blind in his left eye, which is cloudy.
While in country form, his skin is that of his flag, with the stripes traveling down the rest of his body.
In human form, he looks black, and his skin is very dark. His largest ethnic groups are Sara (30%), Arab (15%), and Kanembu/Bornu/Buduma (10%).
Chad is muscular and very stern-looking.

From September 5, 1900 to November 6, 1959, Chad had this dulled version of the French flag.
From 1940 to 1942, this was the flag of the Free French government in Chad, so he might have had this flag during those years.
