This piece of work was guided by ideas of home and closeness, inspiring me to draw an image from my childhood at LL Bean, inside the bubble, under the fish. This captured a feeling of fondness and familiarity that guided this art. I aimed to create a unique perspective by drawing us inside the bubble as the fish swim around. I wanted to capture the awe we were in as we stood there watching the fish above us. 

I used graphite pencils for the majority of the piece, choosing certain areas to color with colored pencils. I also wanted to add fish food, as there are fish swimming around in this piece, but I ended up finding spices and herbs that closely resembled fish food. I used glue sticks to adhere the little pieces onto the art. 

I began with a few sketches and then delved into the piece with graphite pencils. I had wanted to draw this image in past investigations so I had a general idea of how to go about it. After creating a quick outline, I drew pretty realistically, trying to capture the glimmer and glare of the glass and fish. I decided to be selective with the colors in this piece, only coloring the fish and our shirts. I thought this would make those certain areas pop or stand out against the rest of the piece. I also wanted to enhance the material synthesis by gluing on "fish food" around the fish, floating in the water.
