Donate Life

When making this art I was inspired by the message we had to convey with the words and art. Since we had to say something about considering organ and tissue donation, the art was meant to be somewhat uplifting and hopeful. This influenced what I decided to paint and inspired me to paint this scene. It's a cloudy day with the sun peeking through the clouds. 

This artwork is created with acrylic paint on canvas. I used a variety of paintbrushes and a palette knife to blend my colors. I also used a graphite pencil to sketch out an outline of my ideas. 

I started sketching my idea out on the canvas and began painting from there. I wanted to create a piece with a hopeful feeling like the sun coming out on a cloudy day. It connects helping someone with organ and tissue donation. The dark clouds and overall look represent someone in need of organs or tissues and the sun symbolizes someone making an impact and donating.
