I'm through with it; I enjoyed it.

Typical Wolfean —but that's a good thing: verbose without limits, entirely subtlety-free, humorless, and to the point, to the point and to the point. Wolfe's so open about what he intends to convey and does it with such insistence, passion, and conviction that he manages to get you in. I can't say more without spoiling, except that I very much like how it ends.

On a personal note, I can say I've been Charlotte Simmons, too —the plot resonates high with me. That the story of a female American freshman be reminiscent of my own experiences as a freshman in a very different country with a very different university organization and many years ago speaks well of Wolfe's ability as a writer.
