Are you interested in a career working with computers? Or do you want learn the basics of coding and programming because you know that it's a skill that will serve you in any job? Or, are you just looking for a new hobby? Well this week, check out "The Hour of Code" sponsored by Khan Academy and Code.org (and Apple and Microsoft and many more)! While many people think coding is very complicated, it can actually be pretty easy to get started. And Khan Academy has built a very simple introduction that anyone can use to get started in the world of coding.
There are 3 courses available; each will take 1-2 hours, and they all provide a gneeral introduction to the realm of coding. And if you decide you like the course, you can continue into more advanced topics at your own pace!
Check out the options below, including learning how to draw, how to get started with building webpages, and/or developing relational databases! You can do 1 course or complete all 3, and everyone that finishes the introductory courses will receive eLearn credit for their effort!
