My name is Elizabeth McDermott, though I go by Eliza. I am a coach on the eLearn team, which means I am here to support learners through the program in whatever way I can. I hope to get to know you all as we work together to make sure you are successful and your learning experience is positive. A little about me: I came to New Orleans in 2012 and worked as a case manager, counselor and educator in a local crisis center. Since then I have started a small counseling and education business (www.armchairphilosophy.org), and am now also part of the Delgado Adult Education team.

I moved here from Washington DC where I finished grad school. Before that, I was teaching adult education in Denver, Colorado. I was in Chicago for college at DePaul University - but I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan, Petoskey.
