Good Afternoon, everyone!
Tonight is our annual Adult Education graduation, and I'm excited to celebrate with all those eLearn students that passed the HiSET this year. It's a great opportunity to come together and share in the accomplishments of all of our graduates.
It's also a moment each year where I reflect as an instructor, noticing how many students that never thought they could pass the HiSET are now walking with their peers and starting to transition to college and career pathway programs.
So first, keep in mind that we do have an annual graduation ceremony, so if you pass the HiSET between now and next June (2016), you will be invited to participate.
And secondly, earning a HiSET always takes longer than everyone thinks. So if you are feeling overwhelmed about how much there is to do, remember to be patient and stay committed! Learning is an ongoing process and setting short term-goals can help you find success as you make progress towards earning your HiSET!
Keep it up!
